Interested in your MCI bus for sale. Please get in touch, I’d like to come see it, I’m in SoCal and an ex-GMC 4905 owner.

Hi just read your storey about container homes
http://kevinwarnock.com/2011/05/12/flood-resistant-homes-built-from-ocean-shipping-containers/
You have some interesting ideas. I couldnt comment there so found this “door”
I know its “splitting hairs” but containers arent really water tight – the floor in a container is made up of unsealed plywood sheet screwed to the floor subassembly cross members but its not water tight, the reason that lost containers “float” so low in the water is they are partically filled with sea water.
This means that the cargo is soiled and often ( mostly ) as little salvage value, but there is still merit to where you are coming from.
I have a number of container home resources online if your interested – here are some of our free materials.

http://www.containerhome.info/tutorial-2.html

If you find them useful please consider a link on your site somewhere to container.info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Victor
